Hey everyone, I’m here for a Work-In-Progress Wednesday!
Just a quick one because it’s a little late at night here. Going to show some more animations from the next asset pack! I’m a little behind this week but still gonna try and finish it before the weekend. If you don’t see it posted Friday, expect it early next week!
Sci-fi FX Pack 1
From top to bottom, it’s a scan effect, an explosion, and an electric zap. The scan effect will have an appear/disappear animation as well as the loop you see above. For the explosion, I really wanted to do something similar to the warp effect from the previous pack but more explosion-y. The zap is a little more full-bodied than some of my previous electric effects, and could have a variety of in-game uses like powerups, hazards, or maybe an impact effect of some kind.

I’m back from my little vacation- I had a great birthday week and a lot of fun over the weekend playing the new Zelda game! Still a lot more exploring to do…
Here’s the latest developments on my end:
Sci-fi FX Pack 1
I started drawing animations for the next asset pack this week. I’m really enjoying drawing effects lately, so I’m keeping the ball rolling with a pack of science fiction style animations. That’ll include a lot of sparks and electric effects, of course!
I’m also thinking about some specialized animations with start / loop / stop segments, such as a scanning reticule and a wormhole/portal. I’ll let you know in the next WIP post how it goes!

Hey everyone, I’m here for a Work-In-Progress Wednesday to show off what I’ve been working on! Another big post this week, chock full of awesome stuff!
Effects Pack 3
Continuing the Super Pixel Effects Pack series, next up is pack 3! For this pack, I’m doing some of my smoothest animation yet.
Some effect types are returning, like this juicy splatter…
…And some effect types are all-new, like this warp animation and bite animation!
I can’t wait to do the rest, they’re quite fun. Effects Pack 3 will be releasing on April 28, so stay tuned!
By the way, I was wondering- What do you guys think about a pack of just explosions? I’d like to do a bunch of different kinds, like electrical explosions, multi-explosions, explosions with shockwaves, and so on. Let me know what kind of explosions you’d like to see!

You know the drill by now: Like the other packs, it includes 30 skill icon types with a resolution of 32×32.

Hey everyone, I’m here for a Work-In-Progress Wednesday to show off what I’ve been working on!
I have a few different things to show off this week, so it’s a long one this time! First up, more skill icons from Skill Icons Pack 3, coming this Friday!
Skill Icons Pack 3
I’ve expanded my traditional palette a little bit to accommodate some more desaturated browns and some pinks. Some of those snuck into my earlier work already, so I decided to make it official and start using them a little more often! This lets me make the tree stand out more against the light ray background and lets me separate the candles from the candelabra. Sometimes you just need another color to stand out- That’s where the pink sand comes to save the day in the hourglass! Brown sand blends in too well with the hourglass edges and doesn’t pop enough. The pink also works well as a lighting effect on the rocks in the eruption icon.
I’m still drawing the final few icons and HUDs, but I’m still expecting it to come out on time Friday afternoon! I think the icons in this pack are my best yet.
